Linda Tiffany Marian Catholic School

Books, Beautiful Books

She was pretty scared and shaking a little bit. New schools were always hard, especially when you were only six. She barely raised her eyes as she held tightly to her mother's hand.
"Look Sarah, look," her mum said quietly. "There's an old friend of yours."

Sarah's chin sprang up. Her mother had lifted a big storybook from the new unfamiliar classrooms book shelves.  Sarah popped herself down on the floor next to another little girl, the big beautiful book in her lap. This was book two in the series. She was terribly excited. Her mum was right; sometimes things were just meant to be. If her favourite book was here, it just stood to reason she was meant to be here too. She gently stroked the page and smiled at her mum.
